Harvesting Coconuts: Mature coconuts are harvested from coconut palm trees. These coconuts are typically about 10-12 months old.

Opening the Coconuts: The outer husk of the coconut is removed, and the hard shell is cracked open to reveal the white coconut flesh inside.

Extracting the Coconut Flesh: The white coconut flesh is carefully separated from the shell using specialized tools. The coconut flesh is sometimes grated or shredded to facilitate further extraction.

Blending or Pressing: The extracted coconut flesh is mixed with water to create a coconut “milk.” The coconut milk is then pressed or blended to extract the cream, which rises to the top due to its high-fat content.

Separation and Skimming: After blending or pressing, the coconut milk is left to sit for a period of time to allow natural separation. The coconut cream, with its higher fat content, floats to the surface, while the thinner coconut milk settles at the bottom.

Skimming the Cream: The top layer, which is the coconut cream with around 30% fat content, is carefully skimmed off and collected for further processing or packaging.
